Mobile Phones and Gadgets

Most people have a mobile phone; in fact most kids now have a phone! One is so unfashionable if they don't have one! And now a mobile phone is so much more than simply a device for making calls! Text messaging, photography, MP3 and file storage are but a few of the 'other' things that these trendy gadgets can do.

And so life has changed immeasurably. Words like 'time-out' or 'escape' diminish in possibility, to be free and carefree are merely dreams and to be unconnected or unavailable is well, unimaginable! In fact many mobile phone designers might soon be removing the off-switch from their phones, so redundant has it become!

Some users see psychiatrists for compulsive, obsessive disorders! Teenagers steal and rob to finance their messaging habits and sleepless nights are common for many! Couples find that they can only communicate through their phones and the effect of radiation from the devices is still unknown! Mobile phone manufacturers do not allow camera mobiles into the workplace because of the possibility of spying and shots of unaware and naked woman abound on the Internet as sneakily taken pictures are snapped under the guise of making a call! And one must not forget the irritating and privacy-space destruction that a phones ringing or beeping causes on trains, on buses, in queues and in restaurants!

"Whoops, just going through a tunnel, I'll have to call you back!"
