The Malaysia that I Know

A strong force in Asia, an outspoken country on the world scene and with an economy and people in good shape, Malaysia is a country with promise. The political scene might be home to some strange squabbles and religious fervour but it runs life in a tight grip, one that gives suitable freedom to those who follow. Despite petty disagreements with Singapore over the price of the water it sells to the small Island state, regardless of its politicians who often lean towards corruption and 'things' not agreeable to the Muslim faith, Indians, Chinese and Malays call it home.

From the Orangutans on Borneo to the beaches of Larawack, from the culturally diverse shopping paradise of Kuala Lumpur to the beach resorts of Cherating and Kota Kinabalu there is so much to offer and so much to be had for that two weeks holiday one so dreams of. The well known Petronas Twin Towers adorn postcards along with the rain forests and old British Rail trains and Malaysian Airlines with its strong reputation connects the islands and cities to the rest of the world.

Malaysia is a country of beauty, it might not be at the forefront of international cuisine but it certainly is one that its people are proud of.

Malaysia is truly Asia!
