Harry Tobin

A SeaDolby Category Page

Harry Tobin was born in Finland and since 1960 has been at sea with his first signing as a galley boy on a Merchant Vessel. From that time he served as an AB, Bosun, Carpenter, Mate and to Master onboard seagoing tugs and cargo vessels all around the world. There have been all sorts of ships under his feet, from Coalburning Steamers, Sailing vessels and Motorships and now retired he wonders why so little is written about the era of steam, and from the men who sailed on the vessels of the time.
