The Home Improvement Sagas

There is nothing better than to have nothing and then to make something, for the average male anyway! At heart the average husband, father or bachelor is a full-blown expert on Home Improvements and DIY, always seeking approval from their better halves for the projects that they have completed or the ideas that they propose!

Building from scratch is not really possible these days! Deciding to erect a shed at the bottom of the garden does not start with the chopping down of a tree, the sawing up of said tree to make planks and then melting down some handy iron railings to produce nails! Nope, life is not quite like that! Instead the DIY expert sneaks in at half-time, making life easy by following what should hopefully be a pre-determined result - something that the wife will kiss for!

Shops catering to the home improvement expert abound everywhere, designs and kits, tools of all shapes and sizes and voluble experts pop-up with advice and to guide. So should one be able to read a diagram, work out what the Chinese characters actually mean and understand the principle that a chain saw is not really suitable for fashioning a peg then life as a 'home improver' is in motion!
