Send in your CV and wait a week! If there is no answer, call them up on the phone and enquire nicely as to what the prospects are and if they would be decent enough to actually read the CV and find you a job! Also remember that references are more important than you might assume! Again, be one step ahead of the pack, have those references ready and make sure that the referees are pre-warned as to their future task in life!
